Happy Hour Salon: The Influence of Indigenous Music

Rhonda LeValdo (Radio Host, KKFI’s “Native Spirit” and Media Communications Professor, Haskell Indian Nations University) and Mike Stewart (Professor of Indigenous and American Indian Studies, Haskell Indian Nations University) lead a discussion about the historical impact and current trends in traditional and contemporary Indigenous music. Take a seat at the table to engage in conversation, be inspired and build enthusiasm for the evening’s screening of Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World while enjoying lovely munchies provided by Five Bar & Tables.

A salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. The words and light food are free but drinks are on you!
